Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) maintains the automatic transmission oil at optimum temperature levels. There are two main types of transmission oil coolers: Radiator In-Tank type and carrier or cooling module exterior type. The In-tank oil cooler type cools the oil inside the radiator with circulating coolant, and the exterior oil cooler type cools the oil through heat exchange with ambient air mounted on exterior of radiator.
