Primary function is to detect the temperature of the evaporator core in the full-auto air- conditioning (FATC) systems. If the temperature of the evaporator core reaches below the set temperature from the ECU, the compressor will stop functioning to avoid freezing of the evaporator. There are two types of evaporator sensors to detect temperature of the evaporator;
Fin type that is inserted inside the fin of evaporator core, and Air Stream type that
detects temperature of the air stream flowing through the evaporator core.

Primary function is to detect the temperature of the evaporator core in the semi-auto air-conditioning (SATC) systems. If the temperature of the evaporator core reaches below the set temperature from the ECU, the sensor has a built-in control amp to control the compressor on/off to avoid freezing of the evaporator. There are two types of evaporator sensors to detect temperature of the evaporator: Fin type that is inserted inside the fin of evaporator core,
and Air Stream type that detects temperature of the air stream flowing through the evaporator core.
